Love 2009 - The big kiss in St. Mark's Square

Love 2009: Kiss in St. Mark's Square to celebrate the new year coming.

Instead of the traditional firecrackers, a big unanimous kiss will welcome the new year in St. Mark's Square under the bell tower.
The event that last year rounded up more than 60.000 people has been renewed. This year the expected turnout is even larger. What scenography will be chosen to frame the stroke of midnight? Last year many multicolored hearts were projected on the historical buildings of St. Mark's Square and many hearts had been brought onto the square form the people who wants to greet the first day of 2008 with lover's more traditional gesture in the most romantic city in the world.
This gesture, who is becoming a media event, brought the city into the limelight on several news all aroud the world, as well as New York, London or Paris.
At the moment we do not know who will be this year the host that will replace Doug Jack, last year master of cerimonies. The casting to find the first hundred couples eager to have a kiss on the Square is still active!
Venice is therefore waiting for all lovers to participate to the event of the year!
