Classic-style Baroque - Giorgio Massari (XVIII cent.) for the Grassi family from Bologna.

Façade with ashlar base and two noble floors with central pentafors.

Inside there is a large courtyard - today it is covered - and a staircase with frescos by M.Morlaiter.

In 1983 the Group FIAT bought the palace and tranformed it into an exhibition gallery. The restauration was directed by the arch. Gae Aulenti.

Since then the palace houses important temporary exhibtions.

In 2005 the palace was bought by the French art collector François Pinault which entrusted the refurbishing works to the Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
