PIAZZETTA S.MARCO

On the one side it is surrounded by Palazzo Ducale and on the other by the Marciana Library, it goes from the campanile to Bacino S.Marco.

On the waterfront there are two columns from the XII cent. At the top of one is the Lion of St.Mark and on the other the statue of St.Theodor, the former patron saint of Venice.
Executions took place between the two columns.
