VENICEBANANA is a site about Venice: it was conceived with the idea of collecting as much information as possible on the city (and surroundings) with the aim of being a reference point for Venetians, tourists, students and whoever visits the city, even if only virtually. News, useful information, addresses, maps of museums, theatres, cinemas and chemists', programmes of what's on, information on the main monuments and many photographs.
In its current state it is still an embryo of our original idea but we hope it will still be of use. Your suggestions and comments are more than welcome and we will be more than happy if you visit us again at a later date to see how our work has developed.
VENICEBANANA is an open site: whoever wants to publish articles, notes, protests, projects, addresses, photos or essays dealing with Venice can get in touch with us and is more than welcome. Any correspondence or files can be sent to: pubblica@venicebanana.com.
Those who contribute to the development of VENICEBANANA will have the possibility to make themselves known on the personal pages that can be found in a special section of our site.
Another section includes all the advertisements we have been collecting. Whoever is looking for or offering work, selling or buying, will find their space here.
Anyone who is organising exhibitions, performances, concerts or any other kind of event can get in touch with us at the following address: eventi@venicebanana.com.
All relevant information will be entered into the data-base so that it can be accessed by anyone visiting our pages.
It is therefore our intention to create a site that is not only dynamic but also in continuous growth and up-dated for those who love (or hate) Venice, for those living in the city or those about to visit.
