If you want to reach the top of the bell tower you have to go in the church (for free) and follow the signs to "campanile" until the lift where a friar will ask you to pay a ticket (only 3.000 lira - 1.55 Euro)
From punta della Dogana

You can reach it in many ways: walking along Zattere or by boat (line number 1) or by gondola from S.Marco-calle Vallaresso (700 L.).
Standing on the last stone of the "punta della Dogana" between Canale della Giudecca and Canal Grande is like "walking on the water"
From the loggia of the scala del Bovolo

To reach the "Scala del Bovolo" find campo Manin, five minutes away from Rialto following the signs to Accademia. Starting from Rialto go to campo S.Bortolomeo, then campo S.Luca and finally Campo Manin.
Look for the narrow "calle della Vida" and turn right at the first corner. Admission: 4.000 lira)
