getting around .public transport.from S.Marco

Since it is the heart of the city, S.Marco is both the departure and transit point for the main lines of navigation.
There are two boat stops that are almost the same distance from Piazza S.Marco: "S.Marco" and "S.Zaccaria". From here you can reach almost every corner of the city without having to change.
Unfortunately, it is precisely this high concentration of boat lines that makes the boat stop S.Zaccaria so chaotic with its six different landing stages.

Here is a list of the most common destinations:

- Piazzale Roma: can be reached in different ways:
- along the Canal Grande with line number 1 in 38 minutes. A piece of advice: go to the boat stop S.Zaccaria: you will be more likely to find a comfortable seat, especially at rush hour;
- along the Canal Grande with line number 82 in 30 minutes. Be careful: if you want to go in this direction you have to go to the boat stop S.Marco;
- along the Canale della Giudecca with line number 82 (38') that leaves from the boat stop S.Zaccaria (check the direction before you go aboard because in summer line 82 that goes along the Canal Grande also stops at S.Zaccaria);
- along the Canale della Giudecca with line number 42 in 23 minutes;
- along Canale della Giudecca with line number 52 in 20 minutes.

- Ferrovia: can be reached in different ways:
- along the Canal Grande with line number 1 in 35'. A piece of advice: go to the boat stop S.Zaccaria: you will be more likely to find a comfortable seat, especially at rush hour;
- along Canal Grande with line number 82 in 26 minutes. Be careful: if you want to go in this direction you have to go to the boat stop S.Marco;
- along Canale della Giudecca with line number 82 (42') that leaves from the boat stop S.Zaccaria (check the direction before you go aboard because in summer line 82 that goes along the Canal Grande also stops at S.Zaccaria);
- along Canale della Giudecca with line number 42 in 27 minutes;
- along Canale della Giudecca with line number 52 in 24 minutes.

- Tronchetto: can be reached travelling along the Canale della Giudecca with line number 82 (28') that leaves from the boat stop S.Zaccaria (check the direction before you go aboard because in summer line 82 that goes along the Canal Grande also stops at S. Zaccaria);

- Lido: can be reached in different ways:
- with line number 1 from both the boat stop "S.Marco" (19') and the boat stop "S.Zaccaria" (15');
- with line number 51 from S.Zaccaria in 14';
- with line number 14 from S.Zaccaria in 14'. This stage is carried out by motorships, it is non-stop and it is much easier to find a comfortable seat. The ticket fare is the same as a normal one-way ticket.

- Murano: takes 40 minutes to get there with line number 41.

- S.Servolo, S.Lazzaro, S.Clemente: this islands can be reached with lines number 10 and 20 taking respectively 10, 15 and 30 minutes.
