These are usually the main directions:
- Rialto: you arrive there along the Canal Grande.
The journey takes 17 minutes with line number 1 and 14 minutes with line number
82 to the left..
From the stop of Rialto it takes 10 minutes on foot to get to Piazza S.Marco whereas
it takes another 15-20 if you stay on the boat.
- S.Marco: you get there with line number 1 or
line number 82 along the Canal Grande. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes
(38' with line number 1 and 30 with line number 82 to the right; however, it often
only goes as far as Rialto).
A piece of advice: it is better to get off at S.Zaccaria (only one stop
later) to be able to admire the view from the water.
You can also get to S..Zaccaria with lines number 41-51 and 82 to your left (respectively
they take 21', 20' and 38') going along the Canale della Giudecca.
- Accademia: you get there along the Canal
Grande with line number 1 and with line number 82 (to your right and not limited
to Rialto); you need around 25 minutes.
- Palazzo Grassi: [boat stop S.Samuele]
you get there along the Canal Grande with line number 82 (to your right and not
limited to Rialto); you need around 23 minutes.
You can also get line number 1[boat stop S.Angelo] (22 minutes) but you need a
further five minutes on foot following an intricate maze of streets.
- Giudecca: the fastest line is number 41 and it takes about 13 minutes
to get to the boat stop "Palanca" but the Giudecca has another two stops: Redentore
(16 minutes) and Zitelle (19 minutes).
- Lido: the fastest lines are the number 61 (33') and number 51 (34') that
go along the Canale della Giudecca.
