The structure of the site is relatively simple since it is hierarchic
and divided into three levels.
All you have to do when navigating is follow your intuition.
You can move through the pages of the first level by using the main menu on
the side. Once the first-level page has been loaded, yellow-coloured
square appears in the same menu with the items of the corresponding second-level
submenu (lateral submenu).
At the same time, the same voices also appear in an index in the central-upper
part of the page called middle submenu.
An arrow with "you are here" indicates your position within the site
at all times.
When a second-level page is opened, the main submenu behaves as follows:
it is either empty or indicates the items of the corresponding third level.
The main title also helps you keep your position under control.
This will state the name of the first level and possibly also that of the second
or third level.
It is all much easier to do than to understand but here is an example:
let's suppose you are interested in the pages with 3-star hotels:
1) from the home page click on the item "accommodation" in the lateral
menu.
what happens: - the main title with the word "accommodation" appears;
- the lateral submenu with the second-level items appears (hotels, hostels,
...);
- the main submenu with the same items appears.
2) click on hotel: - the main title is "accommodation. hotels";
- the lateral submenu moves the arrow "you are here" to the new position;
- the main submenu shows the items of the third level (5-star hotels in Venice,
4-star hotels in Venice, ....);
3) if you then click on "3-star hotels", you'll see the page you are
looking for - the main title is "accommodation. hotels. 3-star hotels in Venice";
- the lateral submenu moves the arrow "you are here" to the position
of the corresponding 2nd level;
- the main submenu shows the items included in the 3rd level, highlighting the
new position with the arrow "you are here";
- the first item of the main submenu is preceded by + indicating the
original page and if you click here you go back a level;
- in this case, since there are numerous choices on the page, a further two
indexes have been added to enable you to move around the page rapidly: "
hotel index with links and a hotel index without links".
Finally, to allow you to navigate more rapidly, there are icons at the top of
nearly all the pages so you can go directly to the home page, help, post, etc.
One more thing that only applies to the section "files".
This is found within the submenu "culture".
These pages do not have a lateral menu but only navigation icons at the top.
If you click on the icon "FILES", you will see the index. When you click on
CONTINUE, you move to the next file.
Photos can be enlarged by clicking on them. Their actual dimensions are written
below each photo. In many cases, if you want to enlarge them completely, you
also need to enlarge the window and use the scroll bar.
