The REGATA DELLE BEFANE
(6th January)
This year's regatta (2001) is the 23rd edition of the race that takes
place every year on January 6th to celebrate Epiphany.
Five "rowing" veterans (over 55) are chosen and then have
to prove their strength and ability along the Canal Grande (from S.Tomà
to Rialto) in a short but true rowing race, obviously in fancy dress,
to win the flag (symbol of victory) of the first regata of the year.
