Of course there are no camp sites in Venice.
There are some near Mestre 20-30 minutes away from Venice by public transport.
In this case you can reach Piazzale Roma where you can start your journey between "calli" and "campielli" (go to arriving by car and getting around).
Anyway most of the camp sites are between Punta Sabbioni and Jesolo Lido (go to the map).
You can reach S.Marco Square from Punta Sabbioni directly with public transport by sea (go to ACTV).
