The city of Venice offers a very wide range of hotels, guest houses, rooms, residences, appartments and youth hostels that meet the needs and wallets of every kind of visitor.
There are many different types of hotels: those that have just been renovated, others that have just been transformed from normal housing to hotels, historic palaces that had kings, princes and important members of the church as their guests.

As can be imagined, these buildings are nearly all at least a century old, if not more. Thus, it is not unusual to find hotels or guest houses without an en-suite bathroom, especially in the lower categories. When making a reservation, you should always keep this in mind and remember to clarify it.

If you would like to read the regulations for the classification of hotels and rooms to rent to know exactly what services you will be offered click here.

Prices are nearly always above the average, but the uniqueness of the city more than makes up for this extra cost.
If anyone wants to save a little, it is possible to stay on the mainland in Mestre or Marghera. This does mean, however, forgoing not only the convenience of staying in the historic city centre, but also the charm of Venice at nights.

If you like, you are welcome to send us your comments, both negative and positive on your stay in the city by clicking here.
All comments and opinions are more than welcome so we can add further information to the lists you can see by consulting the index at the top.
